Finished Project: Looks good, and contract laborers are as good as they can be considering their circumstances; scheduling and communication from a management level at this company makes them not worth using. Owner came to house on last day of project, for final 10 minutes, and asked to collect final payment - ironically, sink was not hooked up correctly (not did owner inspect) and leaked through the night causing me to hire a plumber to come hook it up.
Kitchen Project: counter top and back splash removal (existing tile counter and back splash) and replacement (with granite counter top and new tile back splash). $7,100 estimate (signed with contract).
Visions Remodeling did an excellent job with my master bath remodel. We replaced our large whirlpool tub with a new open walk in shower. The designer was a huge help picking the right color scheme and materials to fit our needs both aesthetically and practical. The employees were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable in all areas of bathroom remodeling. The owner worked with us by putting together a schedule based on our availability and convenience. They also finished the project within the time frame we were given.
There are no words to describe how poor this company is. Signed the contract at beginning of spring, with a hefty down payment and was only mostly finished 2 weeks before christmas! The work did not start for 12 weeks after the contract signing and only after I threatened to sue to get my money back. I physically changed the locks just before Christmas as I could not take it any more. I could have written a book of all the mistakes, bad judgements, and disreputable dealings that went on with our project. Poor workmanship, no designer to oversee anything, (they quit), and cheap materials. If it was not for me being involved in daily intervention nothing would have been done right. They were willing to continually ask for more money for every detail that should have been covered in the first place. The crew consisted of 2 persons that worked an average of 3 hours per day. Some days not showing up at all. They cannot keep designers, they keep quitting this company. Ours quit days before the project was to start which necessitated us having to be there to let them know what needed done. Skip this company's low bid and choose ANYONE else. Very unprofessional and disreputable.
Communication: Customer had to continually email Visions for scheduling and updates. Customer offered to cancel contract prior to schedule of installation as process was taking longer than acceptable - owner did not accept offer.
Project Summary: Over budget & Over schedule
Visions home remodeling did an amazing job on my kitchen and got the job done quickly. I would definitely recommend!!
Too bad there isn't anything lower than 1 star. If you want to wait 5 months for a 2 week job to be completed, these are your guys.
Scope of Project: Did not change throughout the project
Dates: Began process with Visions in June 2016, contract signed (and 1/3 deposit given) on July 1, removal and installation not complete until August 26.
Length: 8 weeks after 1/3 deposit given to complete the project. Week of project, after schedule was confirmed via email 2x, project extended an extra day with no consideration of customer having to take an extra day off of work. First day for removal of countertops and backsplash, contractors did not arrive at the house until 5:30-6:00pm in the evening, worked until approximately 9:00pm without finishing.
The owner, designer, and all their aesthetically employess have been a pleasure to work with and will definitely keep their number on hand for future projects.
